The Role:
The Data Analyst is a linchpin of Thread’s data & insights team, responsible for turning our Snowflake data warehouse into actionable intelligence for both internal teams and customers. Your mission is to administer and optimize Snowflake, design data models that support reporting, and build dashboards for two audiences:
1. **Internal reports** that help Thread’s teams make better decisions, and
2. **External embeds** — secure dashboards delivered directly inside our SaaS application so customers can explore their own data without leaving the product .

What You'll Do
- Run our Snowflake environment – manage and monitor virtual warehouses; tune performance; manage backups and access controls; and document system configurations.
- Design secure data models – build tables, views and schemas; implement role‑based access control; and craft snowflake schemas for analytics .
- Orchestrate data integration – develop and monitor ETL pipelines; integrate SaaS and internal data sources; and ensure data integrity across systems .
- Deliver dashboards and reports – build interactive visualizations using Omni.co, crafting intuitive dashboards that bring key performance insights to life. Partner with stakeholders to define metrics, measure adoption, and continually refine the experience based on real-world feedback.
- Build external embeds – collaborate with product and engineering to seamlessly embed Omni dashboards directly into our SaaS application. Ensure secure, performant access with row-level security and intuitive navigation so customers can explore their data without ever leaving the platform.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally – translate business questions from CS, marketing and product into data requirements; present findings clearly; and coach team members to self‑serve their analytical needs.
- Drive continuous improvement – stay current on Snowflake best practices and BI trends; recommend improvements to performance and security; and help shape our data governance strategy.
- Build insights for Vitally.io – design and optimize SQL queries that feed our Customer Success Platform. Partner with CSMs and Sales to identify the metrics that matter most, ensuring our Vitally dashboards accurately reflect customer health, adoption, and engagement trends.
What You Should Have
- 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, BI or data engineering with a focus on Snowflake or similar cloud warehouses.
- Advanced SQL skills for DDL/DML operations and query optimization, plus working knowledge of data modelling and schema design.
- Hands‑on experience building and managing ETL pipelines, connecting diverse data sources, and ensuring data quality.
- Proficiency with at least one modern BI platform (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Sigma), and comfort designing dashboards for both internal and external audiences.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R for data manipulation and automation .
- Strong communication and collaboration skills — able to translate complex data into clear business insights and partner with cross‑functional teams.
- SnowPro certification or equivalent Snowflake credentials.
- Experience in the managed service provider (MSP) channel.
- Experience with Omni.co embedded analytics or similar BI platforms.
- Knowledge of AWS services.
